Need Some "Friends"?

I'm currently adding some new "friends" to a MySpace client of mine.

When you are relatively new to myspace you don't get "friends" automatically.

Unless you tell your own friends about your myspace page or you have another website with a link to your myspace page then it will take some time before you start getting friend requests.

There are a lot of people that "troll" through myspace looking for new friends so that is another way that you might get friend requests.

So since my client is relatively new to myspace, they haven't had a chance yet to accumulate friends. For this client I'm adding friends of the celebrity kind - the more famous the better!

*Here is an important point to remember:

When you first join myspace you will automatically get 1 new friend named Tom. Who is Tom? Tom is the creater of Myspace and when you join myspace he is automatically added as your "friend".

So everyone who joins myspace will have at least one friend unless they delete him.

How do you show more than 4 top friends on myspace?

When you sign in to your myspace page you will see an option where you can "change top friends". Click on that and you will be able to specify how many "friends" that you want to show on your myspace page. You can increase or decrease the number of "friends" that show on your myspace page.

MySpace Backgrounds?

Myspace backgrounds are one of the most popular questions regarding myspace. People want special, customized and personalized myspace backgrounds!

I have done a few backgrounds for a couple of Myspace clients and you can see a listing of my clients on my own myspace page. (Plus it will also give you the opportunity to see my own myspace profile and background!

There are many different sites that offer myspace backgrounds where you can simply copying and paste the codes. However a lot of people are having trouble with doing that.

Another problem is that people want a more customized or personalized myspace background and those have to be specifically made. It's not an easy thing to do! It is easy for those that specialize in creating myspace backgrounds because they have been doing it for so long. But if you are new to creating a myspace background it may get a little frustrating and time consuming.

How Can I Paste An Image To The Comments Section Of A Person''s Myspace Page?

If you already know the url of the image you can simply copy that image's url and paste it along with your comments.

You can also create a photobucket account where you can upload your images and photobucket will give you the url/link codes so that you will be able to paste the images elsewhere (including in a myspace page's comments section).

Can I Add "Other" Music To My Myspace Page?

The only music that you can add to your myspace page is the music from those that have a myspace page and they are either artists or musicians.

I'm guessing that this is because copyright issues are involved.

Let's say that you have a piece of music at home from an artist that you like and you would like to use it as the music on your myspace page. You wouldn't be able to do that. You may get lucky if the artist has a myspace page and that music is part of their myspace page and then you could simply "add" it to your own myspace page.

But other than that - No!

Did You Know That MySpace Has Its Own Record Label?

This just goes to show you how popular MySpace has become!

Initially bands created a myspace page so that they could get more exposure. Now they might even get a chance to be a part of myspace's own record label!

Additionally, MySpace even has a tour coming out! The tour will feature bands that have a myspace page!

So if you still haven't decided whether or not you should have a myspace page I say that you should go for it! You never know what opportunities are out there for you!

Can You Put Adsense On Your MySpace Page?

"Can I Put Adsense Ads On My Myspace Page?"

Can you put adsense ads on your myspace site?

The answer is no! Personally I thought it was because even though you could add the adsense ad coding the adsense ads still wouldn't show up on your page - so I thought it was a matter of MySpace just not allowing you to be able to use adsense on your myspace page.

But some else has pointed out that MySpace itself uses adsense ads and adsense's terms of service clearly say that you can't have more than 2 publishers' ads on one site - which basically means that since Myspace already has adsense ads - you can't add your own set of adsense ads.

I really have to look more closer at MySpace because I really don't remember seeing any adsense ads there.

MySpace Consulting Is Becoming Very Popular!

clipped from 72.14.209.104

NEW YORK - Think the social networking revolution comes without pressure? With sites like Myspace and Facebook becoming so widely popular – almost expected – teens are finding their social status is directly connected to the popularity of their personal online exposes.

Michelle Gaubernec, a New York city-based advertising consultant has found new market in helping young girls make their online pages worth the hype. She specializes in coodinating the best material for her clients pages.

“I'll help a girl choose the best party photos, the best friend shots, and edit their blog to really make an impression,” says Gaub, “when an online page is shared with so many new friends and potential relationships, it has to be the best.

Since many sites like MySpace let users add endless music, pictures, and links, “Profile consultants” like Michelle are finding more and more demand.

“My daughter is so proud of her webpages” says the mother of one of her clients. “Without Michelle she couldn't focus on her popularity”

Gaubernex makes it easy her for her teen clients to stay on the top of their social circles. After every party, photos are uploaded to her “dropbox” where she selects the best, has her graphics artists retouch and crop the photos she chooses and they are then displayed on the site pages. Once a week or so, the two meet to discuss new additions to the site pages like music and styles.

“What's in can change so quickly” says Mich, “it's important the pages reflect these changes ASAP”.

"I'm more than a web designer," she says, "I'm an agent for the online celebrities."

"No Photo"

One of the very first things that you will want to do with your new myspace page is to upload a photo so that it can be used as your myspace ID photo. It doesn't have to be an actual photo of yourself it can be almost anything - even just a blob of color - but please upload something!

Not having a photo idea just makes your whole myspace profile look unprofessional and undone! If you don't have a myspace photo then everytime you're added as a friend there will only be an empty photo to identify you with. Just today someone added a comment to my MySpace Blog but there wasn't a picture included on that person's myspace identity - so it makes it look unprofessional and undone.

If you don't know how to upload a photo to your myspace profile then please get someone to help you. After all if you have a myspace page you want it to look as good as possible - don't you?

I Have My Own MySpace Page

I guess it would a good thing to mention that I also have my own MySpace Page:

My Own MySpace Page

I'm quite happy with the way that my MySpace profile page looks and don't think that I want to change it (unless I find a layout that I like better!)

However there are some things that I would like to edit on my MySpace profile page - most namely is that I want to be able to add more information on the left side because the left side looks so empty.

But I'm working on it.

The MySpace Consultant

After starting off as an Adsense Consultant, I have gotten clients who wanted me to help them with their MySpace pages - most specifically their MySpace profile pages.

Here is one of my clients:
